Description

Klüberfood NH1 64-422 is a special lubricating grease composed of a synthetic base oil and silicate thickener. This
special NSF H1 registered grease has been designed for the lubrication of rolling bearings under the varying operating conditions of the food-processing industry. Klüberfood NH1 64-422 is NSF H1 registered and therefore complies with FDA 21 CFR § 178.3570. The lubricant was developed for incidental contact with products and packaging materials in the food-processing, cosmetics,pharmaceutical or animal feed industries. The use of Klüberfood NH1 64-422 can contribute to increase reliability of your production processes. We nevertheless recommend conducting an additional risk analysis, e.g. HACCP.

Application

Klüberfood NH1 64-422 is used for the lubrication of rolling bearings of machines and installations e.g. in the manufacture of grain, meal and animal feeds. It is intended for applications where there may be technically unavoidable contact with the food product. The use of Klüberfood NH1 64-422, an NSF H1-registered lubricant, can contribute to a safe product regime when used in accordance with food manufacturing regulations.

Application Notes

Klüberfood NH1 64-422 is applied by standard commercial grease application equipment.
e.g. spatula or grease gun. Before applying Klüberfood NH1 64-422, all lubrication points should be thoroughly cleaned to ensure maximum hygiene conditions exist, mandatory for foodsafe H1 lubrication. If the production process does not allow cleaning we recommend the existing grease be replaced by purging the system during relubrication. Please do not hesitate to contact your local Klüber representative in respect of grease miscibility, relubrication procedures etc.
