Standard ISO corner casting made from special steel designed for low temperature working at -40°C as standard. These are the fittings found on all ISO type Containers used for shipping.
There are 8 corner fittings used to build a standard container, 2 top right, 2 top left, 2 bottom right and two bottom left. They are sold individually which meet ISO Standard (ISO 1161) for container Corner Castings. Notice how the top and bottom corner fittings are not exactly the same. The top corner fitting has an Acorn shape side hole whereas that of the bottom corner fitting is a semicircle. Such shape and dimensions are dictated by ISO 1161.
An ISO Corner Fitting depends upon how it is held in place, how it is loaded, and the physical size used to engage the corner fittings. Each of these will have possibly dramatic impacts on how the corner fitting will respond under a given load.
